All students must be at least eighteen (18) years of age on or before the first day of class and have earned a High School Diploma or a General Education Development Certificate (GED). A copy of the original High School Diploma or a General Education Development Certificate (GED) must be submitted with the admission application. Students enrolled in the ESL program for non-academic purposes are exempt from the High School Diploma/GED requirement.

North America Technical Institute ESL admissions process begins with a personal interview and tour of North America Technical Institute ESL facility led by the Admissions Director or Officer. During the personal interview, the Admissions Director or Officer will assess your English language skill levels, educational and career goals. For admission to the ESL program or courses, there may be prerequisites and/or demonstrated proficiency in the prerequisite skill objectives required. All applicants must take the Accuplacer to asses their English language skills. During the student’s interview process, the Institute’s admissions representative may require the student to take basic keyboarding and/or computer skills tests. You will also have the opportunity to fill out the application for admission and request further information about financial requirements and options.

The same procedure above applies to a distance learning student, but virtually. Online/distance education applicants must complete an online readiness learning assessment. For more information, contact an admissions officer and/or a student adviser.
