The following checklist will help you decide if you have the skills, learning environment, and technology required to be successful in this program. Take some time to answer the following questions to determine if you are ready to take the NATI ESL English as a Second Language Program online.

Personal Skills
- Do you have good time management skills?
- Can you effectively balance your personal, academic, and professional responsibilities?
- Are you a motivated person?
- Are you effective at setting goals for yourself?
- Do you have a schedule that allows you to dedicate two hours online five days a week, consistently?
- Do you have a schedule that allows you to practice your skills and complete assignments outside of the scheduled class sessions?
- Are you comfortable reading and navigating e-texts and other digital materials?
Learning Environment
- Do you have a space at home that you will use to attend class and do your assignments?
- Do you have a quiet space that is free from distractions during live class sessions?
- Does your learning space have good lighting?
- Is your learning space organized and free from clutter?
- Are you prepared to have your camera on during live class sessions and while taking exams?
Technology Skills
- Do you have basic knowledge of using Microsoft Word and Microsoft PowerPoint?
- Are you comfortable with basic computer skills such as attending online meetings, sending email,
- Do you have basic computer navigation skills to easily open, store, and save documents?
- Are you able to navigate the internet with a common web browser (Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge)

- Do you consistently have access to high-speed internet?
- Does your computer have a working camera and microphone?

- Do you have a computer where you can download any required apps?
- Do you have a Smartphone (not required, but you can download Microsoft Teams to a phone)?
