F-1 Student Visa Maintenance

Student Responsibilities

The main responsibility for maintaining an F-1 Visa status belongs to the student. According to the State Department overseeing all federal laws and regulations governing the United States student visa program, the student must comply with all federal laws and regulations.  Failure to do so will violate the legal status of the student and will result in deportation. Upon arriving at NATI ESL, each foreign student must meet with the Designated Student Official (DS0) to be sure all the compliance regulations are clearly understood. NATI ESL strictly follows all required directives from the Unite States Department of State.

This meeting must take place within 30 days of arrival, and prior to registering or attending any classes. At this time, the student must present the I-20 form, Passport, Visa and Proof of Insurance.  All questions regarding course load, or work-study jobs must be directed to the DSO.
